The general public come in at 1.30pm for £1, there is a long queue to get in at this time, if you can have the right change ready it helps us enormously to speed up the queue. ‘Small’ children go free, we no longer set an age limit for free child entry, free entry will be automatically applied by our gate staff. We have change at the gate and accept payment in notes or silver but do not accept copper coins. Anyone on crutches/sticks or in a wheelchair may come to the front of the queue. Please note this does not apply to ‘blue badge’ holders in general and entry fees will still apply.

BUYERS ENTRY FEE 1.30pm – £1
DEALERS/EARLY BIRDS 12pm £7, or 12.30pm £3
Our buyers entry gate is through the school directly into the sales area. It is well signposted and is just along the forecourt from the old main gate which will now only be used for vehicle access.
Please bring CASH with you. We do not accept payment by card for entry to the boot. It’s very rare for any sellers to accept payment by card, but recently more and more customers expect to use a card. It’a car boot sale – cash is king!
We have a tiered system of entry for buyers at Battersea. Anyone can come in at any time for the entry fee, you do not need trade id to get in. Sellers are not permitted to look around, buy or sell until 12pm, so if you pay to get first look you really do get first look. To be the first buyers onsite costs £7 for entry at 12pm. Most of our sellers are already onsite by this time with the rest arriving by 1pm. Cheaper option is at £3 at 12.30pm. Almost all of our sellers have arrived by this time, with the rest coming onsite at 1pm. Many people pay £3 right up to and even after 1.30pm just to ʻjumpʼ the queue of buyers waiting to come in at 1.30pm.
Battersea Boot is held in the grounds of Harris Academy, 401 Battersea Park Road, London SW11 5AP.
The entrance to the boot sale is at the back of the school on Dagnall Street and has now been changed to the main school entrance rather than the same gate the vehicles enter through. This can be reached by turning off Battersea Park Road into Culvert Road and taking the first left into Dagnall Street, the entrance is along on the left.
If you arrive on foot, there is a foot path running between the church and the school from Battersea Park road to Dagnall Street. At the end of the footpath turn right and the entrance is along past our vehicle entrance gate. It’s clearly marked, just along on the right.
Onsite Facilities
We have the usual facilities you’d expect to find – hot and cold drinks, & snacks.
Toilets are available in the main building, you need to get a hand stamp when you go out to ensure free re-entry without queueing or paying again.
Battersea is a hardstanding tarmac site so is wheelchair accessible.
We do not have onsite parking for buyers. Street parking is currently without restrictions but wardens patrol the area on Sunday’s and will ticket inconsiderate parking on corners, double yellow lines and residents parking bays. Please do not park in the residential side streets off of Dagnall Street. There is lots of parking further along Culvert Road and in Sheepcote Lane, it is a 2 or 3 minute walk away but easier than driving around in circles looking for somewhere closer
